SEATTLE — A driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, and one person was found dead in the water under the Ship Canal Bridge after a two-car rollover crash Monday morning on Interstate 5. Both vehicles landed on their roofs, the Seattle Fire Department said. All southbound lanes of I-5 were blocked on the Ship Canal Bridge around 5 a.m. Tuesday due to a two-car rollover collision, Rick Johnson, public information officer for Washington State Patrol, tweeted. All southbound lanes have since reopened. Harbor patrol officers were sent to the scene to find a missing person believed to have fallen into the water. The public was asked to avoid the area. Around 9:30 a.m., troopers said the missing person's body had been recovered. "The individual was recovered from the waters under the bridge and I am extremely saddened report the the individual did not survive the collision," Johnson tweeted. The other driver stayed at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of DUI, troopers said.
