Family-friendly physical theater! Utilizing physical theater Len Mackey will perform “O”, inspired by his dear friend the late and great Otto Czerepak, and the knowledge that it’s not ‘what we say, but how we say it’ that conveys meaning. Len will also present “Animal Forms” a physical theater piece inspired by the natural world, telling the story of a normal morning walk, and a characteristic experience of human and animal interaction, and movement. Following the physical theater performances, the audience will be invited to move their body and explore the various gaits of animals: diagonal walking, pacing, loping, galloping, and the characteristic movements of other natural phenomena… wind, water, earth, fire, etc. And finally, in the last portion of the workshop, each will have an opportunity to share a short story or idea using their own physical theater charades.
