VIENNA, VA — Drivers may need to change up their commute as work prepares to start on one Vienna road. Starting Wednesday, Ayr Hill Avenue between Glyndon Road and Beaulah Road NE will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m.- 4 p.m. as part of the town's water main construction project. Work is expected to last six weeks, town officials said. Local resident access will be permitted. The $1 million improvement project consists of a new water meter installation, repairs to aging infrastructure, and provisions to increase the functionality of the town's water system.
