No 'Major Discipline' For Police In Long Valley In 2021 The Washington Township Police Department reported no "major discipline" for 2021. According to the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General's "Major Discipline" report, no officers in the agency received "major" punishment last year. The issues that were reported span between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2021, and were required per a directive by former Attorney General Gurbir Grewal. Registration Open For Washington Township Baseball Camps Summer break is just around the corner, and organizations are starting to accept registration for summer camps. Washington Township has announced two baseball camps for parents who are stumped as to how to keep their children happy and occupied this summer. Taxes Go Up In Approved School Budget In Washington Township Taxes will go up about $128 for the average Washington Township School District taxpayer in the 2022-2023 school year now that the school district's budget for that academic session was passed, a school official said. The amount is based on a house valued at $439,258 in the township, which is equal to the average assessed value of homes in Washington Township. The tax increase does not include municipal taxes or the West Morris Regional School District's tax levy.
