NEWTOWN, PA — The Newtown Memorial Day Parade is set for this coming Monday. Sponsored by the American Legion-Morell Smith Post 440, the parade is set to begin at 9 a.m. at 660 Newtown Yardley Road. From there, it will pass through the Newtown Cemetery, move on to Washington Avenue, make a left onto South Lincoln Avenue, a right onto East Centre Avenue, another right onto South Congress Street, a left onto Jefferson Street, another left onto North State Street, and a right onto Richboro Road. En route, the parade will stop at the Newtown Cemetery, the Newtown Library Co., and the Borough Hall to render honors. The parade will end at 11:30 a.m. at the American Legion-Morell Smith Post 440, located at 41 Linden Ave. (Borough of Newtown) There is no set rain date for the event.
