Looking for a bassist who can hold it down, but can also flex when the moment calls for it. Groove and funk, very jazz influenced, but not conventional jazz by any stretch of the imagination. In the end people will probably call it 'indie rock'. We will likely be playing with a female singer who will sing in jazz volumes, so it will be extremely important that you be conscientious enough to support her and not to play over her when she's singing. Acid Folk, Psychedelic Soul, Some covers but primarily a focus on original material.
