Are you looking for a fun and interactive time for your little one? Well look no further! Our Rock & Read event is a FREE event for families who have children 0 to 8 years old! Join Martin-Pitt Partnership Parents As Teachers for a fun and interactive musical and storytime at Greenville Mall, enter the mall on the food court side. Sessions for events with special guests are: 11:00am: Angie Miller- Chicod Narrator and Love Joy Music 3:00pm: Heather Harden- Farmville Children's Narrator and Love Joy Music 6:00pm: Angela Sawyer- Raising a Reader and Love Joy Music Benefits of Storytime: Talking and listening to young children helps with developing their social and literacy skills. Reading aloud is a great way of encouraging two-way communication. Reading and storytelling with babies and young children promotes brain development and imagination. It also develops language skills and emotions, while helping to strengthens relationships. Anytime is a good time for a book or story! Try to share at least one book or story each day! Benefits of Music: Music can help with all areas of child development and school readiness skills which include: intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. Music helps the body and the mind work together.
