ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police arrested five people, including an Elmhurst resident, on DUI charges in recent days. Here is information from the reports: Jose Velazquez, 42, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of East North on a charge of DUI. According to a police report, he was arrested while police responded to a noise complaint. He was released on bond. Lluvia Acosta-Martinez, 18, of Bensenville, was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Second and York on charges of DUI, failure to give information to owner after striking an unattended motor vehicle, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and improper lane usage. She was released on bond. Carlos Garcia, 18, of Bensenville, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of North York on charges on DUI, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, unlawful possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, no valid driver's license, transportation of open alcohol in a motor vehicle and consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was released on bond. Dariusz Mucha, 41, of West Chicago, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of South Route 83 on charges of DUI, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to report an accident. He was released on bond. Sandra Vital, 38, of Lake in the Hills, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Sunday at York and North End on charges of DUI, endangering the life of a child, transportation of open alcohol and parking in the roadway. According to a police report, Vital was pulled over when an officer saw her stopped in the roadway. She was released on bond. Police report information is provided by local police departments.
