District 99 Operation Snowball Team Earns Statewide Innovation Award

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Students from Community High School District 99 recently earned statewide recognition for their work with Operation Snowball. The students attended a banquet in Springfield May 10 and received Operation Snowball's 2022 Creative and Innovative Award. "We're incredibly proud of our students and co-sponsors for executing meaningful programs for our students at North High School and South High School," Downers Grove North High School Student Assistance Program Coordinator Keith Bullock said in a statement. Bullock added, "It is an honor for our district to be recognized by the state organization." Founded in 1977, Operation Snowball is a youth advocacy program that helps students foster leadership skills and positive initiatives to support other students and community members.
