It's Alameda's turn to host Alameda County's High-Intensity Traffic Team (HITT) which consists of officers from multiple agencies working together to enforce laws in a single city.
June's traffic focus is crosswalk violations, although officers will look for unsafe lane changes, right-of-way violations, and other infractions.
Typically, A HITT enforcement will produced more than 100 tickets in a 3 or 4 hour operation, so drive safely and watch for pedestrians.
