Hello... Do you enjoy spending time on San Francisco Bay? Would you like to learn more about sailboat racing and Race Committee? Here is your chance!! The Race Committee at Sausalito Yacht Club is seeking volunteers for their mark set boat(s). You would be trained by a USCG licensed Captain (500 GT Master / 1600 GT Mate) with 30+ years of experience on SF Bay. In your training you would learn how to tie various knots such as cleat hitch and bowline, read the water / wind, operate a 21’ mark set boat (safely) and learn radio communications. The time request is varied. We hold races on Tuesday evenings and one or two Saturdays during the Spring / Summer / Fall. As mentioned, this is a volunteer position with a great group of people who enjoy being out the water.
