Reading through the recent musician ads.. as I’m wanting to start throwing lines out to see what bites I get.. Me - I play guitar and can also sing. My background - I’m 46 and have been playing guitar 30 of those years. I have a music Ed background (ABSOLUTELY not a Berkeley background), but my career is not music-related. I’ve played in cover bands, original bands, have toured a bit, and have done some solo gigs. Genre-wise - a tad bi-polar.. I’ve played in country cover bands, stoner rock bands, shoe-gazey bands, and classic rock cover bands.. Im good with starting from scratch or joining an established group. Could be original or cover - good with either. I do miss playing shows.. I have plenty of good, quality gear for myself.. guitars, pedals, amp.. I can melt faces or dish out full clean tones.. or get f’ing weird with it.. Musical interests? Currently a little bit of everything.. From old Sabbath to Tool.. Cross Canadian Ragweed.. SRV.. Kyuss/QOTSA.. Ryan Adams.. U2.. AC/DC.. John Fullbright.. Big Head Todd.. old Seattle stuff like Sweetwater and AIC.. Turnpike Troubadours.. Oceansize.. Prince.. Clutch.. Any other guitar, bass, drummers, and vocalists interested in connecting? Age isn’t an issue for me - when I was a young player, I played with old cats.. as I have gotten older, I’ve played with younger musicians.. What matters to me is the music we make and how much fun we have doing it. Good vibes as humans turns into good vibe through whatever we choose to play. Let’s do this!
