Job Opening *Part-time* Short Term Rental Housekeeper and Assistant Seeking to fill Short Term Rental Housekeeper/Assistant position. This is a part-time, on-call job for a short term rental property in Eden, NC. Must be local, have transportation, willing to work *on-call*, have access to a washing machine and dryer, and have access to internet via smartphone. Majority of the job is cleaning the (550 sq ft.) property and preparing it for the next guest. There is no set schedule. Other work this position requires- occasionally meeting with contractors, responding to guest needs, and performing small handy work if able. A typical cleaning will typically take no more than two hours and must be started at 10:30 AM when needed. .There will be a paid set number of trial runs/cleanings before permanent employment. .Must be 18 years old or older. *Please note: Job description and duties may change after employment to adapt to the tasks needed. Job Duties: . Regular cleaning- replace linens, make beds, wipe down surfaces, clean bathroom, vacuum, mop, etc. . Change keypad code for each reservation . Meet contractors occasionally . Respond to guest needs on short notice (occasionally) . Clean on short notice (as reservations are made) . Independently check and keep up with reservation calendar . Send property owner pictures of house before cleaning and after each cleaning . Some up-keep with exterior appearance of property- rarely needed, but ensure it looks tidy (no trash left by guests, etc.) . Perform small handy work as needed (tightening screws in furniture, etc.) Candidate Qualifications: . Must be flexible and have a “go with the flow” mentality . Willing and able to work on-call . Responsive- must be a dependable point of contact . Possess attention to detail . Must be comfortable receiving constructive feedback . Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, etc. . Must have access to a washer and dryer. Rotate linen sets, take used linens home, and wash/dry/fold to prepare for the next reservation. . Must have internet access via smartphone to keep up with calendar . Must have transportation Pay: $30 per cleaning- typically takes no more than two hours. If property is left messier than usual, compensation will be provided. Bonus- extra $10 per 5 star cleaning review (rated by guests) Extra $10 per laundry service $15 an hour for on-call work Paid weekly via Venmo
