Now Hiring a Locksmith! University of New Hampshire, Facilities Department Under general supervision, to perform duties involved in the operation, maintenance, repair, and alterations of doors, hardware, keys, and key systems. Responsible for providing excellent customer service, producing high-quality work, and following all security protocols. Provide expertise including the troubleshooting of complex issues in addition to providing the services, knowledge, and responsibilities exclusive to the locksmith field. UNH Facilities is a 24/7/365 operation and has responsibilities related to campus safety and emergency response. Due to the nature of our business, employees may be asked to flex schedules and/or respond to requests outside of normal working hours to meet the demands of the university. This may include early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday work as needed. Minimum Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Valid motor vehicle operator’s license and DOT medical card (if applicable based on assigned vehicle weight). 3. At least one year of related work experience such as experience with carpentry, general mechanical, or maintenance. 4. Knowledge of applicable codes/ordinances. 5. Knowledge of methods, tools, and hazards of the trade. 6. Ability to inspect the equipment, determine malfunction, and make necessary repairs. 7. Knowledge and ability to use computers, tablets, smartphones, and software systems to perform work duties. 8. Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this job, including heavy work with exposure to inclement weather conditions for prolonged periods of time. 9. Must be able to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary. 10. Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written, to effectively communicate with customers, team members, contractors, and supervisors.
