Sweet Pup Needs A Forever Home

This is Gunner, he is 9 months old and it is with a heavy heart that we are needing to rehome him. We got him when he was 4 months old for our autistic toddler. He got along great with my sisters dog and reading a lot about dogs being therapeutic for autistic children I thought it was the best decision for him. I wasn't thinking about size as much as personality and ended up finding Gunner, but his size is just too overwhelming for my toddler and we have tried our very best to make it work but every time he is around Gunner he goes into complete crying meltdowns so now here I am praying he finds a great family since sadly it cannot be ours. So I will be truthful on this post so whomever takes him has complete knowledge. Gunner is a pit/lab mix so he's a pretty big dog. He is EXTREMELY sweet and loves people, no matter who comes around he will greet them with a full butt wag and a smile. He knows how to sit and lay down and he is leash trained. He has been treated for fleas but will need another treatment in a few weeks. He also still needs to be fixed but is updated on shots and has also been fully treated for worms so he has a clean bill of health. Some things to mention is that he is obsessed with the outside so a fenced in yard is a must because he loves to run and play. He also suffers from separation anxiety so he will do best with a family that has a stay at home mom or someone that is at least around most of the time. We give him a THC dog treat an hour before we go anywhere and that calms him down a good bit while we are gone. He is crate trained but he hates it, he loves his dog bed and loves being near his people at all times. He will follow you everywhere just to be near you. He rarely ever barks and he has never once tried to bite anyone. He gets along great with other dogs including smaller ones (my sister has a shitzu and Gunner plays with him when ever she visits), he is also great with cats, although he loves chasing them around trying to get them to play with him he has never once tried to attack them. He does not like water so bear that in mind when giving him a bath. If you have read all of this and are interested in him please let me know. He is such an amazing pup and deserves a great home.
