Seeking staff to work in a year-round summer camp and retreat facility for a maintenance and janitorial position. Starting pay is $17/hour and hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m, Monday – Friday. General responsibilities include: • Maintain grounds and landscaping, including mowing, plant pruning, weed-whacking, leaf removal, and debris removal, to ensure a desirable appearance. • Monitor inventory of building supplies, tools, and equipment and report such to Facilities Manager. • Complete projects as assigned by the Facility Manager and/or Camp Director. • Perform general janitorial, housekeeping, maintenance duties as assigned by supervisor. Safety and Protocols Responsibilities Include: • Maintain safe and clean workshop environment, and compliance with camp policies in the handling of all tools and vehicles. • Store equipment for safety. • Follow the schedule for checking physical plant and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and good repair. • Ensure all tools and supplies are cleaned up and put back into the maintenance shop after use. • Operate necessary grounds-care equipment such as mower, tractor, chainsaws, etc., in a safe and efficient manner. • Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines, including local, state, and federal guidelines, as well as American Camp Association accreditation standards.   We are a non-smoking facility.
