1 Year Old Boxer Mix

Description

I am looking to find a new home for my (almost) 1 year old puppy. He had a DNA test and it came back that he was mostly Boxer but it also listed Chow, Australian Shepard and Terrier. I can show you the results if I you’d like or text them to you. He is a great dog. He is 100% potty trained and will silently tell you when he needs to go by going to the door. He LOVES children. He loves to snuggle and be close to his people. He’s grown up with a cat and leaves her alone for the most part (every once in awhile he tries to play with her but she’s old and not interested). He will come with his collar, leashes, harness, bowls, any dog food and chews/toys I have left and his bed. He is up to date on vaccines and neutered but will need flea/tick medication. I have been living in the same home for 3 years now (I rent) and we do not have a fenced in yard and his only downfall : he LOVES to chase squirrels. I have a tie out that I put him on during the day so he can run around and play and we also take him on walks, camping, on trails but he is able to break off of his tie out and chase after squirrels. He has ran off after a squirrel…more times than I can count. He has been picked up by the police, neighbors, people walking down the street. He will go right up to people when he runs off, happy as heck to see them! But I live on a 4 lane street that is very busy and I have tried everything to stop him from running off after squirrels but without a fenced yard I fear he is going to get hit. If I don’t let him out during the day he tries to dart past us at the back door when we go outside which has resulted in a chaotic mess with him tripping my children and everyone falling. He weighs roughly 40-50 pounds and is just a super sweet dude. If you’d like to meet him please send me a text or email. I am willing to discuss a fee for the right home. I just want him to be loved and cared for.
