Maintainance - Residential Property
Jobs
Florence OR
Description
Have a dozen rentals and one homestead mostly in the Florence area requiring ALL aspects of maintaining the home, yard, and acreage. Have a small crew due to covid and now looking to expand by several people. An experienced supervisor would also be of interest to be crew chief. We currently typically work Monday through Thursday starting at 0900 for those wanting four days/week while Friday is optional. Individual work projects are also available for weekendings. This is not under the table as all workers are verified, documented, and insured like any regular employee. The main employee benefits are: 1) YOU weekly determine what days and hours to be available to work during M-F 0800-1800, 2) YOU come as you are as tools and materials are provided, 3) YOU may refuse work as safety is a primary concern, and 4) what you don't know you will learn regarding home repairs and improvements. If not now, some day you will own a home and need to be able to do all this unless wealthy enough to hire others. Compensation is based on what you bring in terms of skills, tools, experience, and availability. The position works best if you live in the greater Florence area, have a working car with a valid current Driver's license, and can carry 80 pounds (bag cement, bundle shingles, 4x8 drywall, etc.). You will also receive a bonus of 1% of the base pay rate per eight hours beyond the first worked applied to all the hours worked for the month. If do 130 hours, then (base rate + 15%) X (all hours worked that month). Its easier to support one person working four days a week then four people working only one day a week each. The initial contact is to provide all the following: 1) town you live in, 2) your email address, 3) your direct phone number, 4) your background in using hand tools especially residential maintenance/landscaping skills, and 5) what your average weekly hours/days availability is. Due to virus inclusion in attachments, any attachment will be discarded without viewing. There is in the order done - receive all the above items, a phone chat, rental site visit/introduction to understand what we do, written application submission, "the" job interview, check of references, and background check. I use emails heavily; so, no phone is given here as a start. Since you will be in tenants' homes, you must submit to the same rental screening they do. So to start, don't apply if your credit score is under 600 or you have been evicted anor filed for bankruptcy in the past ten years.
