Apis Gardens is accepting applications for our “Life Skills Apprentice Program” for the summer session of 2022 which runs from: May 28th to August 17th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
This program offers a safe educational place for a student to spend the summer learning life skills. Applicants must submit a completed “Apprentice Application Form” along with a “Waiver and Release of Liability Form” signed by the applicants parent or legal guardian. Before and applicant is accepted; an in-person (parental / legal guardian) interview is required. Apprentice applicants must have transportation to and from Apis Gardens which is located in Turney Texas just aa few miles south ease of Jacksonville TX. This training is geared for students from thirteen through eighteen years of age. Upon request an application will be emailed.
The following is a list of some but not all topics that may be covered during the apprenticeship session:
Auto Mechanics (such as how to change a tire, replace spark plugs etc) Small Engine Repair, Boating Operations & Water Safety, Use and Safe Operation of Shop Tools, Metal Welding, Plastic Welding, Carpentry, Electrical wiring, Plumbing, Horticulture, Beekeeping, Masonry, Gardening, Aeroponics, Plant Propagation, Canning, Cooking, Laundry, Firearms safety handling (with unloaded firearms), Tractor Operation, Tree Removal, Log Splitting, Appliance Repair, Creating Computer Spread Sheet & Presentations, Chain Saw Maintenance, Lawn Mower Maintenance, Furniture Refinishing.
