Bonded pair needs foster/adopter ASAP

Description

I have two extremely sweet, small dogs that were presumably dumped in my neighborhood on or around 5/17. Neighbors and I have exhausted many efforts to find their owners and have gotten no leads. We have also reached out to several rescues and gotten no response or denied. We took them in temporarily a few days ago to get them out of the cold, but our apartment is just not big enough for them plus our two dogs and it is putting a significant strain on our daily lives. We believe the dogs are mother and son. They are extremely bonded and will need to be homed/fostered together. Mom is brown and white, son is white with black ears and the cutest cow spots on his belly. The little boy is not yet fixed, looks to be around 1 year old and is the sweetest little guy! He loves giving kisses and affection, and will wrap his paws around your arm or leg for hugs. Mom is a lot more timid of humans, but I think with time and patience she will warm up. After two days in our home, she already gives us tail wags when we get back from work. She cuddles my legs at bedtime and takes food from my hand, but won't let anyone pet her just yet. Between work and our own two dogs, we just don't have the time she needs to build her trust. Both dogs seem to be potty trained and great with other dogs, but not cats. The neighbors that caught them gave them baths and flea medicine. Ideally they would go to a home without small children, since mom is so timid. Asking a small rehoming fee to ensure they go to a good home.
