Parrotlet fostering

Description

I have had my dear sweet parrotlet for 10 years now. I relocated to Europe last year from RVA, and had my parents care for him as I intended to return this summer. Now it looks I will be staying another year. I have contacted several export companies to try and get my lil guy over to Europe with me, however much of the paperwork needed requires things I can not provide. His band fell off years ago, so I am working to get him chipped; then the DFW says they need signed papers from the breeder testifying to various aspects about the hatching, however the breeder has relocated in the last decade and I highly doubt can provide me any these things. On top of all of that the fastest turnaround I have been quoted is 6 months, which is more than my parents are able to do. I also quite simply fear that my 24 grams of fluff would not survive such a flight as it is no longer an option to bring him in-cabin. This is all to speak nothing of costs (+$5000) Thus I find myself here and seemingly out of options. He is a quite tame and very cute little guy, no health issues beyond a beak that grows crooked and requires regular correcting (I do it it myself with a Dremel quite easily.) In an ideal world a loving home would take my lil guy and I could return to him in a year when I (hopefully) return back to RVA, however I recognize this is attempting to have my cake and eat it too. So, I wonder if anyone out there is looking for a lovely lil p'let to shower with love and provide a good home too. Or if you've any recommendations. I am quite sad to be in this position, but such is life.
