We are looking for someone to sell our delicious gluten free, vegan baked goods at the Chappaqua farmers’ market on Saturdays through mid-December. Hours are 7:30am-1:30pm with market hours 8:30am-1pm. The ideal candidate has great customer service skills; the ability to communicate clearly; takes direction effectively and works well independently; enjoys being outdoors (under a tent); enjoys talking with people; has excellent basic math skills. An interest in gluten free and/or vegan baking - lifestyle is a plus but not required. *Can offer additional hours during the week as baker's assistant for the right person! Duties & Responsibilities: - Pick up products and market equipment in Yorktown at 7:30am. - Arrive at the market on-time, set up tent, stall, displays, signage, products, etc - Interact with and answer customer questions about products - Make sales and keep track of inventory - Break down stall, organize leftover product - Return unsold products and equipment to Yorktown in good condition Requirements: - Able and willing to work Saturdays - Able to lift 50 lbs on occasion, set up a 10x10 tent, stand for up to 6 hours (a chair is provided) -Good basic math skills for retail -Great attention to detail, capacity and curiosity to learn -Own a smart phone to use Square App - Have excellent customer service skills and enjoy speaking with people - Have car insurance - Have a CLEAN car that can fit all market supplies/equipment safely and securely - Valid, clean NYS driver's license -Understand and apply good hygiene/health standards for food preparation Application Instructions: 1) Send a brief email explaining why you are interested in the position 2) Resume (if available) 3) 2-3 references 4) Phone number and time(s) you are available for a brief phone interview
