Job Overview:
The Construction Assistant will work with the Project Manager/Owner to oversee daily management, supervision, coordination and successful completion of building mitigation and reconstruction projects in the Cut Off, Louisiana area. This position provides support to the Project Manager/Owner and helps with clerical and operational tasks.
Responsibilities & Duties:
• Coordinate and execute daily administrative tasks delegated by the Project Manager, which may include but is not limited to the following:
Taking progress and inspection photographs of project sites
Submitting receipts, photographs and other documents as directed
Complete daily project logs and attach progress photographs
• Act as a go between for Project Manager and subcontractor
• Order materials from approved suppliers
• Pick-up and deliver materials as needed
• Oversee deliveries to project sites
• Other duties as assigned by Project Manager/Owner
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year construction experience preferably with mitigation and renovation projects
• Valid driver’s license
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle capable of loading building materials for delivery to job sites
