Business located in Fairfield County seeking a Delivery Driver to service and deliver hot tubs and cabinetry to our customer base all over CT and surrounding areas. We are a local retailer that was established in 1999, looking for a strong, self-motivated individual to join our delivery team. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined and must have the ability to do heavy lifting. Previous forklift, warehouse, trailer driving, or spa knowledge are a plus; however, willing to train the right individual (strong references needed for consideration). The candidate MUST be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record to apply. Also, must pass a pre-employment screening and background check. Position Description: Position will be responsible for delivering hot tubs & cabinetry. The Delivery Driver is detail oriented with excellent leadership, organizational, communication and decision making skills. Responsibilities Include: Keeping the warehouse neat, clean and organized is imperative Heavy lifting/loading/dolling with safety being important at all times Multitask in a customer focused, fast paced environment Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manor, even in stressful situations Consistently make good decisions with minimal supervision Learn and keep up-to-date with key industry business knowledge Knowledge and Experience: Ability to inspect, wrap, pack and load merchandise properly for delivery Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record Mechanically inclined - basic plumbing experience preferred Basic computer skills – email, internet, etc Key Competencies and Critical Skills: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Self-motivated and self-directed individual with a focus on results and problem solving with strong decision-making skills Attention to detail, follow-up, organizational skills & ability to multi-task Ability to up sell hot tub products and services Willingness to develop knowledge on the hot tub product's use and features Excellent listening skills and the ability to work as a team Perform other related duties as assigned Other Information: Work hours are Monday - Friday with occasional weekends Compensation commensurate with experience (hourly base rate plus commission/bonus) Health benefits, paid vacation and sick days Extensive professional training and development Reference checks and background screening are required for all candidates Please send compensation requirements and resume for consideration to:
