Press release from Senator Alexis Weik's Office:
May 23, 2022
Dear Friend,
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, which aims to fight stigma, provide support, educate the public, and advocate for policies that support people with mental illness and their families.
With the pandemic, social unrest, and many other things, this has been a difficult year for New Yorkers. All of us have endured hardship that has tested our resilience. If you are struggling right now, know that you are not alone.
Mental health awareness month is a great time to start focusing on your own mental health. There are many ways to take care of yourself, and even small changes can make a big difference. Use this month as an opportunity to get started on your journey to better mental health.
