Beyond Beauty: Cultural Significance of Juneteenth Beyond Beauty: Cultural Significance of Juneteenth An ongoing education class for both foster and adoptive families to learn about the cultural significance of celebrating Juneteenth. Knowing and understanding the history and importance of this day, can help you connect with both your foster or adoptive child and his/her biological families. Ashley Harris and Roxanne from Crown and Tress Beauty Palace will be taking the time to provide us with this information. Ashley Harris, an adoptee herself, brings her experience with both community racial reconciliation and with coaching multiracial families in the hair and skin care industry. We are grateful to be partnering with Ashley and Roxanne at Crown and Tress and look forward to contining to learn from them. This class will qualify for ongoing hours for foster licensing.
