Come celebrate the Juneteenth federal holiday and World Refugee Day! The African struggle for a better life is one that is universal and speaks to the best traditions of American culture and the ideals of liberty and justice for all. As the African diaspora community here at Utah Valley University, we use this moment to honor the history, culture, and legacy of people of African descent and refugees from around the world. We also extend this moment to our community as a statement of solidarity affirming Utah Valley University is a place for all.
