Description
Gather in community to unburden yourself of the weight of carrying your grief alone. Leave refreshed, renewed, and on purpose. Life is precious and fleeting. One thing is for sure...everything changes. We all face loss, whether through natural or sudden death of a loved one or pet, traumatic injury, illness or change in ability, change or betrayal in relationships, unfulfilled dreams, personal failure, disappearance or destruction of cherished objects, changes of environment, social injustices, devastation in our communities and world, loss of hope. Even positive life changes like having a child, starting a new relationship, a move or new phase of life can bring grief. In these cases, our grief can be bittersweet, as we both release the old and embrace the new simultaneously. Grief shows up in a diversity of ways: shock, denial, longing, anger, rage, sadness, despair. We welcome whatever grief you bring to the altar. You may have tried to avoid your grief , thinking you would drown in it, be overwhelmed with pain, or fear that it means you are dwelling in the past. The problem is, avoiding grief only perpetuates the very suffering that you hope to avoid. Unexpressed grief may have taken into addictive and compulsive behaviors, illness, depression/anxiety, isolation, and shutting down to life. Avoidance doesn't work, yet it is understandable to want to turn away from grief. Something inside remembers, though maybe not consciously, that you need connection with others in order to heal. Come, share your grief in community, so your joy of living can be renewed, even in the face of loss and injustice. In this ritual, you will: -Co-create a safe and sacred space in community to honor your individual and collective grief. -Learn about different types of grief and ways to identify how it may be showing up in your life. -Expand perspectives on how grief is held in wisdom traditions and indigenous ways. -Express your grief through writing, movement, song, and being in nature. -Experience the healing power of honoring grief by being witnessed and witnessing others without trying to change, fix or solve the grief process. -Open your heart and increase vitality through the liberating energy of forgiveness. -Cultivate a renewed intimacy with yourself and your aliveness that is awakened from choosing to honor and embrace grief. ******************************************************************************************************************* We hold tenderly in our hearts that each being has their own relationship with prosperity and the flow of money. Honoring this diversity we offer a Sliding Scale, as well as a Benefaction/Reparation Program specifically for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals who identify financial need and/or an interest in bringing grief healing services into their communities. Please look within your heart and pay what is in alignment with your level of abundance. Know that as you give with generosity so it is returned to you. Sliding Scale Guide: If your yearly income is above $80,000, your payment of $444 helps to sustain the work and assists those who cannot pay the full amount. If your yearly income is between $35,000 and $60,000, your payment of $333 allows us to meet the operating costs and supports the facilitators so they can continue to offer this work. If your yearly income is below $35,000, your payment of $222 (or less, please inquire) allows you to be supported by receiving a discount off the full cost. This is reserved for those in financial need and those that would benefit from reparations.
