June ArchiTalks @ Articulture presents Tailored Geometries: The Shape of Three Projects with Nicole Blair, AIA Tailored Geometries: The Shape of Three Projects will be presented by Nicole Blair, AIA, founder of the eponymous Nicole Blair, LLC (formerly Studio 512). Nicole will reveal the design process behind three multiple-award-winning projects: The Perch, The Hive, and Lincoln Chapel. Nicole Blair, AIA, is an architect and general contractor working in Austin, Texas, the city where she was born and raised. Her practice focuses on residential, small commercial, and public art building projects. In 2019 Elle Decor named Nicole one of the greatest living architects in the world alongside several Pritzker Prize winners. Her projects have received design awards at the local (AIA Austin), state (Texas Society of Architects), and international (Dezeen) levels, and her work has been published by Architectural Record, Dwell, and Texas Architect. Nicole believes the relationships built with clients, artisans, contractors, and subcontractors along the way are as important as the buildings themselves. She measures success not only by the end product, but also by how we get there. Rain date: June 15. Doors open at 7:30pm and lecture begins around 8:00pm. UPCOMING SERIES DATES ArchiTalks @Articulture will take a break during the heat of summer and return with the Fall 2022 series on September 14. This series showcases Austin’s talented architects and designers, with each installment focusing on an individual practitioner and their unique approach to their work. Architalks at Articulture is presented by the Austin Foundation for Architecture in collaboration with venue sponsor Articulture Designs, event sponsor Builders FirstSource, and series founder/organizer Scott Harvey.
