LOS ANGELES, CA — Two teens are in critical condition today after being shot Sunday night in Los Angeles as they sat in a parked car eating. Their shooter remains at large, and police have not determined a motive for the unprovoked attack.
The victims, a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man, had stable vital signs when they were rushed to a hospital by paramedics. The suspect dropped the gun at the scene and ran away, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The shooting was reported about 6:50 p.m. Sunday at 27th Street and Vermont Avenue in the Adams- Normandie area of Los Angeles, according to a dispatcher in the Los Angeles Police Department's Operations Center.
A male suspect approached the teens and fired multiple gunshots into their vehicle, she said.
The shooting was not believed gang-related, she said.
