Press release from the City of Long Beach: May 23, 2022 Long Beach, CA - Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) will offer in person adaptive recreation programs for middle and high school youth and adults, providing fun and enriching experiences such as art, games and fitness activities designed for people with disabilities. Programs will run June 20 through August 26, 2022. Registration begins on Monday, June 13, at 2:30 p.m. The Adaptive Youth and Adult Recreation Programs will take place at Stearns Champions Park, located at 4520 E. 23rd St. The Adult Program, for people 18 years and older, will take place weekdays from 2 to 5 p.m. and the Youth Program, for those 12 to 17, will take place Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The cost is $15 per week and $4 per Saturday, respectively, and are due the week prior to attendance. Registration will be available in person beginning June 13, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. at Stearns Champions Park by appointment only.
