Competitive Hunter Jumper Farm is looking to fill two positions: someone for a general labor and farm maintenance job & someone who can help care show horses. Both jobs require handling horses so basic horse/farm experience is a plus. Come join our team and work in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Competitive pay. Family oriented work environment. General Labor job Responsibilities include: Tend to the horse’s basic needs (cleaning stalls, turning out and bringing in, filling waters) Maintain and operate farm equipment Maintain the exterior landscape of the barn Assist with special projects as assigned Job responsibilities for the second job Care for and tend to the horse’s basic and extensive needs Be responsible for basic Equine first aid Maintain the interior aesthetic of the barn Tacking, untacking and bathing horses Assist with special projects as needed Qualifications 18+ years old Horse experience Be able to lift 60+ lbs Ability to work under pressure or in emergencies Reliable transportation and phone Must pass a background check
