You're invited to join us at the "Athens Forever" Homecoming celebration! Homecoming Dinner Celebration All alumni, students, faculty, staff, friends, and members of the Athens State community are invited to join Athens State University for our annual HOMECOMING CELEBRATION as we recognize and celebrate our alumni. This year is particularly special, as we are celebrating our bicentennial -- 200 years of serving students and the surrounding community! The dinner event will take place on Friday, July 29 in Carter Gymnasium. A cocktail social will begin at 5:30 PM, with dinner served at 6:30 PM. Over dinner, we invite you to visit and reconnect with former classmates, faculty, and friends. Homecoming weekend will continue on Saturday, July 30 as we honor the Athens College Class of 1972, who will be celebrating the 50th year of their commencement, alongside our current summer graduates. They will cross the stage in full regalia to receive special recognition prior to the awarding of diplomas for the Class of 2022.
