ST. MICHAEL, MN —St. Michael-Albertville High School held its annual Academic Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, where approximately 500 students were recognized for their academic success during the 2021-22 school year. "The awards honored students for their commitment to learning and for their achievement in the classroom," the school said in a statement. "Congratulations to all award winners, and thank you to their parents/guardians for their continued encouragement and support of their education." Among the biggest awards handed out were: Student of the Year Awards: These are selected by the staff, who choose a student in each class based on academic performance, participation in the classroom and contributions outside of the classroom. The award is considered the highest honor given to STMA students. Claire Kvant, Grade 9Justin Mehes, Grade 10Ashton Szymanski, Grade 11Trinity Hanif, Grade 12.
