HIGHLAND PARK, MI — A driver was killed Monday morning after a rollover crash in Highland Park, Michigan State Police said.
State troopers said the victim was driving in the right lane at 1:20 a.m. on eastbound Davison Freeway near Interstate 75, when another driver attempted to change lanes and sideswiped the victim's car.
The victim then lost control of the car and struck a concrete wall, causing the car to roll over multiple times on the freeway, officials said.
The victim died at a nearby hospital while the at-fault driver was also taken to a nearby hospital to have blood drawn, officials said.
The freeway was closed at Oakland Avenue while officials conducted a preliminary investigation. Officials were still investigating the crash.
