Company: Suja Juice Oceanside Position: Quality Control Technician (Entry Level) Reports To: Quality Assurance Lead Technician Status: Full Time Staff Position – 40hrs minimum Start Date: ASAP Interested candidates must submit their resume for consideration DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Monitors production conditions & product specifications • Verify all Food Safety Controls & take Corrective Actions if necessary • Perform Facility Inspections • Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) throughout the manufacturing areas • Tracks non-conforming product (Holds) and their dispositions • Perform Pre-Operational inspections of all equipment • Help train new employees on QC duties • Verify equipment calibrations and make necessary adjustments • Perform special assignments as needed by the Quality Assurance Manager • Verify pH levels, temperature, brix, production lot codes, labels, mold number, packaging, volumes, lot codes, torques & bottle weights are within product specification • Perform monthly audits • Shipping and receiving verifications JOB QUALIFICATIONS & Basic Skills: * Time will be spent standing in a wet and refrigerated production environment working with production personnel and around various types of production equipment. • 1-2 years QC or/and food industry experience (preferred but not required) • Responsibilities will require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, holidays, evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines and production needs • The environment will be wet with temperatures as low as 32F • Must have strong communications skills. • Must have computer skills. • Must have strong critical thinking skills. • Must be able to adapt to constant changes and work independently with moderate supervision. • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Shifts open: Sunday - Thursday Tuesday - Saturday 5a – 130p 1p – 930p 9p – 530a
