Description
I lost my engagement and wedding rings together, likely last Sunday (May 15). That day I was in Rogers Park, where I live, as well as down at the Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary and Beach. The rings are both large size (I believe 10 or 11?), the engagement ring is antique and has been enlarged from a much smaller size.
Because the engagement ring has been in my husband's family for generations, I am offering a $750 reward for them (or just for the engagement ring), or for information leading to me finding them.
If anyone is looking to pawn them - or has pawned them - I will give you the reward or beat what the pawn shop has offered, *no questions asked*. I just want them back.
Description of the engagement ring:
- Antique - I believe it has been in the family for four generations
- Large-size (I think 10 or 11?) - yellow gold band with lighter colored, antique setting.
- Modest-sized central diamond (maybe 1/2 cm diameter?) is circular, I believe it is a brilliant cut. It has a square-ish prong setting: four prongs placed in a square pattern.
- Next to the central diamond, the setting has what looks like a crosshatch pattern with tiny diamonds on each side.
- The ring has been resized up from a much smaller size.
The wedding band is a plain, thin, gold band. It is rounded on all sides - almost like it were made out of a thick gold wire.
I am sharing some pictures of them - they are not great pictures, I had to zoom in, but its better than nothing.
Thank you for your help!
