5k Helpers Needed to Support Kids with Cancer

HorizonWALKS is an annual event that helps raise critical funds for Horizon Day Camp, a free summer day camp for kids with cancer, and their siblings. Horizon Day Camp - Metro DC opens our doors for the first time on June 27 and will offer unbridled joy to local families facing pediatric cancer. On June 12, 2022 we will host our inaugural HorizonWALKS event at National Harbor from 8:30 am until 11 am and need your help. HorizonWALKS Helpers will wear our branded HorizonWALKS t-shirt to help our attendees recognize you. You will receive an email after registering from Marcia Sheehan with confirmation of your role and a request for your t-shirt size. We will have availability for t-shirt pick up at the Pozez JCC the week of the walk. For roles with many openings, we encourage you to get a buddy or two to sign up with you. Especially for the Greeters, Cheer Squad and Arts & Crafts Tables. Please note that the Event Set Up and Event Break Down roles have different time slots. Signed service letters are available upon request. Volunteers must be age 15 or accompanied by an adult. Please email Marcia with any questions or suggestions regarding HorizonWALKS.
