Description

Pollen Systems Corporation is an Advanced Agricultural Analytics company based in Bellevue, WA. We use aerial imaging and quantitative data analysis across seasons to help growers in the U.S. and Chile grow better crops. Pollen Systems is seeking an FAA Part 107-Certified sUAS pilot for contract agricultural mapping projects in the Houma, Louisiana area. Sites range from 1 to 100 acres, averaging around 30 acres per flight. Each site will typically be scanned between 3 and 5 times during the growing season, with the possibility of more flights dependent on client volume. KML boundary file(s) for flight planning will be provided upon acceptance of a job offer and for each subsequent site as it is booked during the season. Pilot must have access to high-resolution multispectral camera UAS payloads from Micasense (RedEdge-M, RedEdge-P) or the DJI Phantom 4 Multispectral. Other cameras compatible with Pix4D postprocessing software may be considered if they include calibration measures such as a Downwelling Light Sensor and calibration panel AND can meet or exceed the resolution of the Phantom 4 Multispectral. For each day of flying, this position pays $320 for the first 4 hours onsite, with additional hours spent in the field each day compensated at the rate of $32/hour. Higher rate negotiable if providing simultaneous radiometric thermal imagery (Micasense Altum-PT, FLIR Vue Pro R, etc.) alongside multispectral imagery. Visit to learn more.
