NASCAR EVENT STAFF NEEDED Thursday 6/2, Friday 6/3, Saturday 6/4 Earn $630.00 in 3 days and be front and center at the event! Multiple Positions and hours available APPLY NOW! And have top pick of positions and hours-Work 1 or all days, up to you! For the first time in 20 years Portland is hosting the NASCAR Xfinity series races at Portland International Raceway! This is a great way to earn extra money in a short amount of time (Up to $630.00 in 3 days) and participate in the most anticipated event of the year in person! Various shift times and positions are available but are filling fast so apply today! Duties and Responsibilities for Positions available for Event Staffing: HOT PITS -Ensuring that professional pit crews are able to perform their jobs quickly and safely by allowing only authorized people into area. Must be able to stand/walk for duration of shift. It's very loud, hot, smells like burning rubber, fuel. START/FINISH CROSSING - Works with our licensed security and assists with track crossings when track goes cold. Able to sit for the majority of shift. INSIDE TURN 8 CROSSING - Works with licensed security and assists with track crossings when track goes cold. Able to sit for majority of shift. TV COMPOUND - Specifically watches the TV/Media compound area and ensures only authorized people are allowed. Must be able to stand for duration of shift. NXS GARAGE- Stationary position at entrance to Garage. Checks for credentials and only allows authorized people access. Must be customer service oriented, friendly, look presentable. Must be able to stand for duratin of shift. GATE SECURITY- Making sure only credentialed people are allowed access into raceway.Front & West Gates, bike path and bridge crossing positions ROVER - Walks around a specified area and monitors everything. Keeps an eye out for anything unusual. BREAKER - Given a list of employees and walks around to their locations and gives breaks and lunches. TRAFFIC CONTROL - Stationary position at gate and opens it as needed for emergency vehicles only. BAG CHECKERS - Bag checks at entry gates - will be given a list of prohibited items and will ensure these items do not enter the premises. MEDICAL TENT - Stationary position at medical tent. Has a radio and relays information to medical tent from security as needed. Will be able to sit most of the time. Skills and Qualifications for Event Staffing: Must be able to work on feet up to 12 hours per shift (some positions allow for sitting) Must have good communication and be reliable, show up early/on time and be able to work entire shift Good customer Service required for certain positions Job Details for Event Staffing: Temp- EVENT coverage Most shifts are day starting between 7am & 10am however we have mid shifts starting at noon and grave shifts starting at 7-8pm Thursday, Friday & Saturday June 2, 3, 4th at Portland International Raceway in N. Portland $17.50/hr
