Hi, I am a singer/guitar player. My hair is sandy gray. ;-) In my 50s. Love to sing and harmonize. I am looking for someone to play and work up some harmonies with. I dont write alot of songs but would love to do more of it. Ideally, I am looking for a lover of music, someone who can pick a little lead and likes to sing. Im not really a lead player, playing 12 string for most of my life, but I can get around ok. I play a tele and Rick 12 string as well when plugged in. I have fronted a few bands in the past. Made an "album", etc. I do want to play out, but not in a rush. To start, would love to play once a week and see where it goes. My (guitarplayin) heroes are songsmiths. John Lennon, Neil Young, Elliott Smith, Lou Reed/VU, Byrds, Brian Wilson, the Dead, Paul Simon. I was big into 80s "college radio" (REM, Smiths, Camper Van, Replacements, Pixies), and as a kid listened to alot of 70's rock (Bowie/Floyd/Zep), 60's jangle (Byrds, CSN) and crossover country (Burrito Brothers, John Prine, Dylan). More recently I enjoy talents like GBV, Iron and Wine, Bon Iver, Vampire Weekend, Wilco, DeathCab, Radiohead, Shins, Spoon, DBT, Fleet Foxes or Pavement. All of it very melodic and well written. I love to play, and love to perform. My politics are left leaning, but very accepting of all kinds. Please reach out if you would like to meet, bounce some songs around, share a glass.
