Team Leader for Grounds Crew on Private Estate

Overall Responsibility Looking for a Team Leader/supervisor with strong horticultural experience to manage and supervise grounds crew of a historically significant Bucks County estate located in Upper Makefield. A self-starting, unique individual to manage, maintain and improve the grounds, gardens, home and outbuildings on this 100+ acre property. Basic Qualifications • Individual MUST have prior horticultural experience in all areas of landscape maintenance. • Must be able to effectively communicate with the overall Property Manager and work well in conjunction with the other members of the family office team. • Must be a hands-on team member with a strong work ethic, be dependable and must take great pride and responsibility in his/her work and the work of the people that he/she supervises. • Must be physically able to perform the rigors of this position as it requires lifting of 50+ lbs., physical labor which is sometimes performed in all weather conditions. • Educational emphasis focused on horticulture or agronomy and relevant trade experience will be considered a plus. Key Areas of Responsibility • Working in conjunction with the Property Manager, must be able to develop, budget and implement a list of tasks to be performed on a routine basis but also plan for and management of new projects for the betterment of all aspects of the Estate. • Be able to effectively manage and supervise a staff. • Effectively select and supervise work performed under your direction for tasks to be completed requiring additional skills to be performed by outside, third party contractors.
