This is Rowdy. He is dearly loved!! I saved him and his brother, at five weeks, from a scary breeder that didn't have good intentions with the litter. Rowdy has lots of great things to offer a new family. He is a two year old, 80lb, neutered male. He needs a very active family. Lots of room to run. He is good with all people, kids, and cats, but doesn't appreciate younger dogs (with high energy) in his face. He has been raised with five kids, three other dogs, and two cats. This is a very difficult decision for us but as of now, it's what's best for him. I have spent a lot of time training him but he can be stubborn at times. He knows how to use a doggy door, sit, stay, down, come, heel, focus (looks into your eyes for next command), sit pretty, jump, shake with both paws, bed, up up (onto platform), off, out, under (between legs from behind), back up, leave it, drop it, wait, break (from a stay or kennel), kennel, no (dont do that ever again), ah-ah (stop what your doing and come to me), and load up. He is capable of so much more and loves to learn... most of the time. His flaws are minor but in a household like ours it could potentially be fatal. He is a trash hound, counter surfs, eats whatever he sees really, socks being his absolute favorite. He also has separation anxiety. The only way I can keep him safe is by kenneling him during work shifts and I don't feel like that's fair to him. He is also allergic to everything but beef and kangaroo so maintaining his diet is a must. He has been to daycare but he doesn't correct younger dogs very nicely so I felt it best to not take him back. He doesn't bark unless someone knocks at the door and he has an uncontrollable waving butt when he greets people. When you come home he will bring you gifts, aka his toys. He is microchipped and has always been utd on vaccinations. I will require a home check (home owners only), a training session to ensure you can handle/ communicate with him, and a vet reference. (NO EXCEPTIONS) I'm in no hurry. I just want to find the perfect home for our amazing boy.
