Hello! I am looking for a housekeeper for my mother. She is in her mid-60s, lives with her husband, and on some nights, her high school-aged step son spends the night. (But she does not need for anyone to help with his things. He takes care of his own room, laundry, etc.) Her house has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and one half bath. (Only one bathroom and bedroom are used regularly. The others are for guests, and so will only rarely need to be cleaned, maybe just a little touch up every once in a while.) She is quite clean but needs a little help with floors, windows, and other tasks that she does not have time to do. There really isn't much! She needs someone who can come once a week, most weeks. She is flexible when it comes to day and time, and is open to many possible arrangements. She is very generous and understanding and will be wonderful to work for. Compensation can be negotiated, but she is initially offering $25/hour in cash--for around 5 hours each week. But she has also said that she would be willing to set the rate at $125--and if you're able to finish the few tasks she has for you in two hours or so (and you likely could--it really won't be that much), that's perfectly fine with her. There is no need to stay the full 5 hours that day, and, of course, you will still be compensated the full $125. She will provide all of the cleaning materials. You only need to show up!
