Learn the Audio Video Business in Residential Homes. We are willing to train the right person. Entry Level Position We are a leading Audio Video company in South Austin. We are looking for the right person. We are willing to teach them about the business. We anticipate this person to work 20 to 30 hours a week which is dependent on projects from week to week in a smoke free environment. Monday-Friday with a Saturday or two a month. We strive to be off on the weekends. SKILLS and Licenses REQUIRED: Strong desire to learn. Security Installer License (must have or willing to get within 3 months) LOW VOLTAGE (preferred) PLUS: Cutting in Speakers with precision while on a ladder Pulling, terminating, labeling communication cables Installing or mounting: speakers, TVs, surround systems in residential Strong background in electronics and low voltage integration Working knowledge of audio, video, security, network systems Trouble shooting and TESTING Leadership a plus Copper and Fiber experience- a plus Reading Blueprints- a plus Identifying pathways Cable installation Pre-Wires required This position requires you to accept the following: live in S. Austin preferred (or must live in Austin City Limits) tats not visible in short sleeves or shorts drug free (requirement) have own tools, preferred have own reliable transportation (truck or van preferred)to get to the job site (S. Austin, Westlake, Spicewood) pass a background check (requirement) have a smart phone and email for communication (requirement) know how to use a computer stand and bend for long periods of time work in attics and construction sites without air conditioning climb ladders; work above your head on a ladder low voltage (must have experience) cut holes in ceilings above your head on a ladder flexible Compensation is dependent on your proven experience over a 90 day trial period. We are willing to bring the right person into our team. This person will have a positive attitude and be a team player. They will be problem solver and be a quick learner. This position pays $15-$19 based on your experience. After 90 day trial period an increase will depend on attitude, reliability, and experience.
