SHIPPING AND RECEIVING • Loading and unloading freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks • Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against packing list or purchase order. • Examine incoming shipments and reject damaged items. Appropriately report/record any discrepancies. • Accurately store materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner. Rotate inventory as needed. • Assemble and pull materials from storage areas for delivery or pickup. Review all orders to determine accuracy. • Load materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit • Maintain logs of material delivered or received • Monitor and control inventory levels of parts, tools and supplies to ensure adequate availability SAFETY • Coordinate with safety department to ensure a safe work environment is maintained • Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures • Properly store and secure ALL flammable and hazardous material in designated storage area. • Wear all Personal Protection Equipment Required DELIVERY • Uphold a valid California Driver’s License while practicing safe & professional driving habits based upon your delivery duties. • Comply with California driving rules and regulations • Maintain Company “delivery” vehicle in good working condition by regularly checking the fluids, brakes and tires, and report any needed repairs. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Physical ability to perform work which involves frequent bending, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying of weights up to 50 pounds • Able to stand, walk, lift, pull and push for an entire shift. • Must have good eyesight which includes close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. • Able to withstand variation of temperatures in a typical warehouse environment OTHER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Diligently work in a deadline intensive work environment and posses organizational and multi-tasking skills as needed. • Use excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to deal positively with senior management, employees, vendors and customers • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of facility and equipment including but not limited to sweeping, dusting, polishing equipment and tools, and emptying waste containers • Perform all other duties as assigned Rate: $20 per hour 2 weeks of paid vacation per year 401K and Medical Insurance offered
