Description
Hi
1.There is a strong aircraft coming from my front door, it needs to be completely air/draught proofing.
2.I can hear trough a wall from my neighbour apartment (separate apartment adjacent to mine)
I was thinking to add a drywall (two layers glued with green glue to the existing wall),
or I think some insulation, cellulose panel an on top of it quiet rock drywall,
both screwed together in the studs (found by a stud finder) of the existing wall
Drywall plus cellulose panel is 3/4 inch
Screw 2 inches
So goes inside 1 1/4 inches
Existing Wall thickness about 3 inches
Space for drywall and other panel before door starts on the side of wall is 2 1/2 inches
Height wall 106 1/2 inches
Width 170 1/4 inches
Plinth 7/8 inches
I might just need an help in carrying the drywall panels on the second floor of my house, they are 4x8 feet, quite long
Or I was also thinking maybe to cut the panel in smaller pieces 16x28 inches weight 6.8 pounds holder on the suds of the existing wall by strong velcro that can hold up to 10 pounds.
Or buy some foam acoustic panel or simple foam lawyers to be added on the wall behind 2-3 big bookshelves.
I can buy the materials and do the job
just need some supervision and advices, you dont have to physically come in my house, we can videocall
I can pay 100$ or less, it depends. I am not even sure what's my exact plan yet.
