Interested candidates should apply at: TITLE: Handyman STATUS: Part-time Summary of Position: Pennsylvania Institute of Technology is hiring an experienced Handyman to join our maintenance team reporting to the Director of Facilities. Supervisor Responsibilities: None Essential functions include, but are not limited to: • Maintain a friendly and customer service oriented, approach to co-workers and customers. • Perform maintenance and light repairs of buildings inside and outside. • Light construction projects, framing, drywall, flooring. • Perform routine landscaping on the grounds. • Plastering and painting as needed. • Assembly and Repair of equipment or furniture. • Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs. • Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g., shoveling snow.) • Identify and report the need for action of any safety related item (hazardous conditions). • Clean facilities by sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, wet cleaning etc. Required Skills / Abilities: • Enjoy working with others and taking direction when needed. Qualifications: • 3 years of previous Handyman experience. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Ability to easily navigate several flights of stairs multiple times per day.
