Christian Business Association of the Palm Beaches Breakfast with Guest Speaker – Rene Paez Rene Paez is a wealth advisor that has worked with some of the wealthiest families in Switzerland, the U.S., and Latin America. Born to a Slovak mom and Venezuelan dad, he grew up in Switzerland and Venezuela and later matriculated to Germany and then the United States. He has a Certificate in Biblical Studies from Torchbearer Bible School, a B.S. in International Business from Messiah College, and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. Rene spent the early years of his career in banking with Goldman Sachs and ABN AMRO in Switzerland and later returned to the US and continued his career in banking with UBS and Bessemer Trust, always focused on managing the complexities of families with ultra-high net-worth wealth. After spending the first decade of his career in wealth management, he transitioned to improving processes and creating efficiencies with a foundation in Six Sigma. This evolved into a start-up environment where he not only set up processes and operations but also took on CFO responsibilities. Subsequently in his consulting practice, clients from around the world have consulted him to grow their businesses, create strategic efficiencies, and raise capital. This led him to discover the prevalent inefficiencies and challenges faced by families relating to legacy impact. Today Rene is a CEO confidant, a problem solving quarterback and a Chief Legacy Officer for his clients at Raymond James. He passionately pursues his clients’ wealth maximization combined with legacy maximization to achieve meaningful generational impact. He is also co-leader of Palm Beach for Christ, a nonprofit organization on Palm Beach dedicated to encouraging men and women to explore a relationship with Jesus Christ and to foster a safe environment where these individuals can be real and transparent with one another. Rene and his wife Leesha reside in West Palm Beach and have four kids with a fifth about to arrive any day.
