Come learn about Red Cross hurricane response practices and get trained to help support an emergency shelter in your area! Hurricane Season begins June 1st, and the American Red Cross invites you to get prepared to help your community. Come see an example of an emergency shelter set up and learn how the Red Cross cares for the community after a disaster. We'll be hosting two quick (30 minute) "Just in Time" Sheltering Trainings at 10am and 1pm. Becoming a sheltering volunteer is a great way to directly impact your community! This is one of our most critically needed volunteer positions. Refreshments will be served. We can't wait to see you there!
